The reality of disciplined life

The truth is we don't need more discipline than we already have. We just need to direct and manage it a little better.

Contrary to what most people believe, success is not a marathon of disciplined action. Achievement doesn't require you to be a full-time disciplined person where your action is trained and where control is the solution to every situation.

How to build discipline

The trick to success is to choose the right habit and bring just enough discipline to establish it. That's all the disciplined you need.

Be a person of powerful habits and use selected discipline to develop them.

Success comes in a sequence not simultaneously.

Try to build one habit at a time, learn one by one and build enough habits to be successful. When you completely acquire new habits then you don't need more discipline to execute the task and things will become easy.

Persistence

Persistence is an essential factor in the procedure of transmitting desire into its monetary equivalent. The basis of persistence is the power of will.

Willpower and desire, when properly combined make an irresistible pair. Those who accumulate great fortunes are sometimes called cold-blooded or ruthless. Frequently it is simply because their critics don't understand that what they have is a strong desire backed up by willpower which they mix with persistence. It is the combination that ensures the attainment of their objectives.

The majority of people are ready to throw their aims and purposes overboard and give up at the first sign of opposition or misfortune. A few carry on despite all opposition until they attain their goal.

Mental inertia

If you select your mastermind group with care, you will have in it at least one person who will aid you in the development of persistence. Some people who have accumulated great fortunes did so because of necessity. They developed the habit of persistence because circumstances forced them to become persistent.

Those who have cultivated the habit of persistence seem to enjoy insurance against failure. No matter how many times they are defeated, they finally arrive at the top of the ladder. Sometimes it appears that there is a hidden guide whose duty is to test us through all sorts of discouraging experiences. Those who pick themselves up after defeat and keep on trying finally arrive, and the world say, "I knew you could do it" the hidden guide lets no one enjoy great achievement without passing the persistence test. Those who can't take it simply do not make the grade.

Those who can take it are rewarded for their persistence, and in return, they get the goal they are pursuing. But that is not all! They receive something infinitely more important than material compensation the knowledge that " every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent advantage".

Persistence inventory

Persistence is a state of mind therefore it can be cultivated. Like all states of mind, persistence is based upon definite causes among them these:

Definiteness of purpose- knowing what you want is the first and most important step toward the development of persistence. A strong motive will force you to surmount difficulties.

Desire- it is comparatively easy to acquire and maintain persistence in pursuing the object of intense desire.

Self-reliance- belief in your ability to carry out a plan encourages you to follow the plan through with persistence.

Definiteness of plans- organized plans, even ones that may be weak or impractical encourage persistence.

Accurate knowledge- knowing that your plans are soundly based upon experience or observation, encourages persistence.

Cooperation- sympathy, understanding, and cooperation with others tend to develop persistence.

Willpower- the habit of concentrating your thoughts on making plans to attain your definite purpose leads to persistence.

Habit- persistence is the direct result of habit. The mind absorbs and becomes a part of the daily experiences upon which feeds.

Take inventory of yourself and determine what you are lacking in this essential quality of persistence. Measure yourself, point by point, and see how many of the previous eight factors of persistence you lack. The analysis may lead to discoveries that will give you a new understanding of yourself and what you need to get ahead.

The following is a list of the real enemies that stand between you and achievement. These are not only the symptoms indicating weakness of persistence but only the deeply seated subconscious causes of this weakness.

Failure to recognize and to define clearly exactly what you want.

Procrastination.

Lack of interest in acquiring specialized knowledge.

The habit of relying upon excuses instead of making definite plans to solve your problems.

Wishing instead of willing.

The habit of blaming others for your mistakes, and accepting circumstances as being unfavorable.

Fear of criticism.

Develop persistence

Four steps lead to the habit of persistence. They call for no great amount of intelligence, no particular amount of education, and little time or effort. These necessary steps are :

A definite purpose backed by a burning desire for its fulfillment.

A definite plan, expressed in continuous action.

A mind closed tightly against all negative and discouraging influences, including negative suggestions from relatives, friends, and acquaintances.

A friendly alliance with one or more persons who will encourage you to follow through with both plan and purpose.

These four steps are essential for success in all walks of life. They are steps that lead also to the mastery of fear, discouragement, and indifference.

Conclusion

It's not as tough as it looks at first glance. You just need to build habits that will help you to be more disciplined and persistence will help you to come out of your comfort zone. To acquire persistence you just need to follow the steps mentioned above.

What is subconscious and how to control it.

What is subconscious and how to control it.

What is subconscious

The subconscious mind is the intermediary that translates prayers or desires into terms that infinite intelligence can receive. The answer comes back to you in the form of a definite plan or idea for procuring the object of your prayer. When you understand this principle, you know why mere words read from a prayer book can't serve as an agency of communication between the mind of man and infinite intelligence.

How to control it

You can't entirely control your subconscious mind, but you can hand over to it any plan, desire, or purpose that you wish to transform into concrete form.

The subconscious mind works day and night, and in some way that is not fully understood, the subconscious seems able to draw upon the forces of infinite intelligence for the power to transmute your desires into their physical equivalent. And it does it most straightforwardly and practically.

You can plant in your subconscious mind any plan, thought, or purpose that you desire to translate into its physical or monetary equivalent. Those desires that have been mixed with emotional feelings and faith in your ability are the strongest ones. Therefore they are the first to which the subconscious responds.

Connecting link

The subconscious mind consists of a field of consciousness in which every impulse of thought that reaches the conscious mind, through any of the five senses, is classified and recorded. The subconscious receives and files sense impressions or thoughts regardless of their nature.

The subconscious mind is the connecting link between the finite mind of man and infinite intelligence. It is the intermediate through which you may draw upon the forces of infinite intelligence. Only the subconscious mind contains the process by which mental impulses(thoughts) are modified and changed into their spiritual energy.

Energize your subconscious

The possibilities of what you can do when you connect creative effort with the subconscious mind are stupendous. They inspire me with awe.

I never approach the discussion of the subconscious mind without a feeling of little less and inferiority because a human's entire stock of knowledge on this subject is so pitifully limited.

First, you must accept as a reality the existence of the subconscious mind and what it can do for you. This will enable you to understand its possibilities as a medium for transmitting your desires into their physical or monetary equivalent.

Positive emotions

The subconscious mind is more susceptible to influence by thought mixed with feelings or emotion than it is by thoughts originating solely in the reasoning portion of the mind. There is much evidence to support the theory that only emotionalized thoughts have any real influence on the subconscious mind. It is a fact that emotions or feelings rule the majority of people. If it is true that the subconscious mind responds better and faster to thoughts that are well-mixed with emotion, it is essential to become familiar with the more important emotions.

The seven major positive emotions

. The emotion of desire

. The emotion of faith

. The emotion of love

. The emotion of enthusiasm

. The emotion of romance

. The emotion of hope

. The emotion of intimacy

There are positive emotions, but these are the seven most powerful and the ones most commonly used in creative effort. Master these seven emotions(they can be mastered only by use) and the other positive emotions will be at your command when you need them.

The seven major negative emotions

. The emotion of fear

. The emotion of jealousy

. The emotion of hatred

. The emotion of greed

. The emotion of superstition

. The emotion of anger

positive and negative emotions can not occupy the mind at the same time. One or the other must dominate. It is your responsibility to make sure that positive emotions constitute the dominating influence of your mind. That is where the law of habit will help you. Form the habit of applying and using positive emotions. Eventually, they will dominate your mind so completely that the negatives can not enter it.

Autosuggestion

Autosuggestion is self-suggestion. It is the way of communicating between that part of the mind where conscious thought takes place, and that which serves as the seat of the subconscious mind.

Through the dominating thoughts that you permit to remain in your conscious mind (it does not matter whether these thoughts are negative or positive) the principle of auto-suggestion reaches the subconscious mind and influences it with these thoughts.

The four primary methods for planting and reinforcing suggestions in your subconscious are:

  1. By formulation and writing out your desire

  2. Repetition of positive affirmations

  3. By creative visualization of your goal

  4. Acting as though the goal is already yours.

:- Affirmations should always be stated as positive. Affirm what you want, not what you don't want.

:- Affirmations should be specific about the desired goal, but not about how to accomplish it.

:- Don't make unreasonable time demands. Your subconscious can't make anything happen "suddenly" or "now".

:- The most important repetition of your emotionalized affirmation(affirm with emotion, attach emotion to affirmation).

Effective prayers

Most people resort to prayer only after everything else has failed or else they pray by a ritual of meaning but don't understand that words. And because most people who pray do so only after everything has failed, they go to prayer with their minds filled with fear and doubt. Because fear and doubt are the emotions that are mixed with their prayer, these are the emotions the subconscious mind passes on and these are the emotions that infinite intelligence receives and acts upon.

If you pray for a thing, but as you pray you to have a fear that you may not receive it, or that your prayer will not be acted upon by infinite intelligence, your prayer will have been in vain.

Conclusion

You can't completely control this process, but you can condition yourself to come up with more and better ideas.

If you seriously commit yourself to doing these things, it will change the way you think and act, and your subconscious will do everything it can to transmute your desire into reality, and other people will want to do what they can to help you succeed.

If you want to study this topic more then you can read this book:- the power of your subconscious mind by Joseph Murphy.

How to increase willpower and self-control.

How to increase willpower and self-control.

 How to increase willpower

Why would you ever do something the hard way? Why would you intentionally work with one hand tied behind your back? You wouldn't. But most people unwillingly do it every day. When we tie our success to our willpower without understanding what that means, we set ourselves up for failure and we don't have to.

Content

  • Renewable energy(willpower).
  • Food for thought.
  • Default judgment.
  • Give willpower the time of the day.
  • What taxes your willpower?

For most of my life, I never gave willpower much thought. Once I did it captivated me. The ability to control oneself to determine one's actions is a pretty powerful idea. Base it on training and it's called discipline. But to do it because you simply can, that is raw power. The power of will.

Willpower is so important that using it effectively should be a high priority. Unfortunately, since it's not on the will call, putting it to its best use requires you to manage it. Just as with "the early bird gets the worm" and makes hay while the sun shines," willpower is a timing issue. When you have your will, get your way. Although character is an essential element of willpower, the key is to harness it when you use it.

Renewable energy

Think of willpower like the power bar on your cell phone. Every morning you start with a full charge. As the day goes on, every time you draw on it you're using it up. So as your green bar shrinks, so does your resolve, and when it eventually goes red you're done. Willpower has a limited battery life but can be recharged with some downtime.

It's a limited but renewable resource. Because you have a limited supply, each act of will creates a win-lose scenario where winning in an immediate situation through willpower makes you more likely to lose later because you have less of it. Make it through a tough day in the trenched, and the lure of late-night snacking can become your diet downfall.

Food for thought

The brain makes up 1/50 of our body mass but consumes a staggering 1/5 of the calories we burn for energy.

Advanced research shows us why this matters. A 2007 article in the journal of personality and social psychology detailed nine separate studies on the impact of nutrition and willpower.

The studies concluded that willpower is a mental muscle that doesn't bounce back quickly. If you employ it for one task, there will be less power available for the next unless you refuel. To do our best, we have to feed our minds. Foods that elevate blood sugar evenly over long periods, like complex carbohydrates and protein, become the fuel of choice for high achievers literal proof that "you are what you eat".

Default judgment

One of the tea challenges we have is that when our willpower is low we tend to our default settings. And if you're not careful, your default settings may convict you too.

When our willpower runs out, we all revert to our default settings. This led to the question- what are your default settings? If your willpower is dragging, will you grab the bag of carrots or the bag of chips?

Give willpower the time of day

We lose our willpower not because we think about it but because we don't. Without appreciating that it can come and go, we let it do exactly that. Without appreciating that it can come and go, we let it do exactly that.

Without intentionally protecting it every day, we allow ourselves to go from a will and a way to no will and no way. If success is what we're after, this won't work.

Think about it. There are degrees of willpower strength. Like the battery indicator going from green to red, there is willpower and there is "won't" power. Most people bring won't power to their most important challenges without ever realizing that's what makes them so hard.

When we don't replenish it when it's low, we are probably setting ourselves up for the toughest possible path to success. You have to make doing what matters most a priority when your willpower is highest. In other words, you give it the time of day it deserves.

So like any other limited but vital resource, willpower must be managed.

When it comes to willpower, trimming is everything. You will need your willpower at full strength to ensure that when you're doing the right thing, you don't let anything distract you or steer you away from it. Then you need enough willpower for the rest of the day to either support or avoid sabotaging what you've done. That's all the willpower you need to be successful.

What taxes your willpower

  1. Implementing new behavior.
  2. Taking tests.
  3. Filtering distractions.
  4. Trying to impress others.
  5. Resisting temptation.
  6. Coping with fear.
  7. Suppressing emotion.
  8. Doing something you don't enjoy.
  9. Restraining aggression.
  10. Selecting long-term rewards.
  11. Suppressing impulses.

Conclusion

Don't spread your willpower too thin

On any given day, you have a limited supply of willpower, so decide what matters and reserve your willpower for it

Monitor your fuel gauge

Full-strength willpower requires a full tank. Never let what matters most be compromised simply because your brain was under-fueled. Eat right and regularly.

Time your task

Do what matters most first each day when your willpower is strongest. Maximum strength and willpower mean maximum success.

Multitasking and it's affect on productivity.

Multitasking and it's affect on productivity.

Multitasking

In general, people often make a mistake to understand the topic of MULTITASKING. They think that using multitasking will help them to grow and increase their productivity. But this thing is not bad because our surroundings or society make us feel good for doing this kind of thing. But the fact is multitasking makes you less
energetic and decreases your productivity. So don't worry about this I'm here to help you out from this trap of society.

Content

  1. What is Multitasking?
  2. Affect of multitasking.
  3. The one thing.
  4. Living in a dream.

What is multitasking?

Multitasking, in a human context, is the practice of doing multiple things simultaneously, such as editing a document or responding to an email while attending a teleconference.

The concept of multitasking began in a computing context. Computer multitasking, similar to human multitasking, refers to performing multiple tasks at the same time. In a computer, multitasking refers to things like running more than one application simultaneously.

Current computers are designed for multitasking. For humans, however, multitasking has been decisively proven to be an ineffective way to work. Research going back to the 1980s has indicated repeatedly that performance suffers when people multitask.
"to do two things at once is to do neither." - Pubilius Syrus

Affect of multitasking

So, if doing the most important thing is the most important thing, why would you try to do anything else at the same time? It is a great question.
Multitasking is a lie.
It is a lie because nearly everyone accepts it as an effective thing to do. It's become so mainstream that people think it is something they should do, and do as often as possible. We not only hear talk about doing it but more than six million web pages offer answers on how to do it, and career websites list "multitasking" as a skill for employers to target and prospective hires to list as a strength.
Some have gone so far as to be proud of their supposed skill and have adopted them as a way of life. But it is a "way to lie," for the truth is multitasking is neither efficient nor effective. In the world of results, it will fail you every time.
"Multitasking is merely the opportunity to skrew up more than one thing" - Steve Uzzell.

The one thing

Try this out for more productivity in life. When you start doing only one thing at a time you start increasing your peak performance of the day. You cut down unimportant tasks at that time and start focusing on the one thing that matters the most, by which your future tasks will be easier or unimportant.
Think like this if you have to do only one thing you will gonna do that thing perfectly and with more focus by which your task will eventually get improved. Just like this you just need to do that one thing that has met priority.
Every time you get stuck multitasking just remember this will make it worse so try do to only one thing at a time.

Living in a dream.

Ever you catch yourself doing something and thinking another thing. That's the point where you start decreasing your productivity and multitasking. Now you're gonna think is thinking mean multitasking no not at all but if you think something different from doing the different thing that makes it multitasking.
So pay attention to your thoughts when you doing something you have to see and think only about that thing. Stop living in a dream and start doing things with your full potential.

Conclusion
After reading the whole blog you can understand this lie of multitasking which keeps you behind in life and stops you to achieve greater results in life. So make sure to stop doing this illogical thing. And focus only on one at a time. I can guarantee this will increase your productivity.

Self-Care Practices for Every Area of Your Life.

Self-Care Practices for Every Area of Your Life.

 Self-care

his article discusses some of the different types of self-care and why they are so important. It also covers some of the things that you can do to develop a self-care plan of your own
.

What is self-care?

Self-care is vital for building resilience toward those stresses in life that you can't eliminate. When you've taken steps to care for your mind and body, you'll be better equipped to live your best life.

Different Types of Self-Care

Self-care isn't just about finding ways to relax. It's about taking care of yourself mentally, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. To care for your health and well-being, it is important to find a balance that allows you to address each of these areas. Sometimes you might need more self-care in one specific area to restore balance or find relief from a stressor in your life

Physical Self-Care

You need to take care of your body if you want it to run efficiently. Keep in mind that there's a strong connection between your body and your mind. When you're caring for your body, you'll think and feel better too.

Physical self-care includes how you're fueling your body, how much sleep you're getting, how much physical activity you are doing, and how well you're caring for your physical needs. Attending healthcare appointments, taking medication as prescribed, and managing your health are all part of good physical self-care.

Social Self-Care

Socialization is key to self-care. But, often, it's hard to make time for friends and it's easy to neglect your relationships when life gets busy.

Close connections are important to your well-being. The best way to cultivate and maintain close relationships is to put time and energy into building them. your relationships with others.

There isn't a certain number of hours you should devote to your friends or work on your relationships. Everyone has slightly different social needs. The key is to figure out what your social needs are and to build enough time in your schedule to create an optimal social life.

Mental Self-Care

The way you think and the things that you're filling your mind with greatly influence your psychological well-being.

Mental self-care includes doing things that keep your mind sharp, like puzzles, or learning about a subject that fascinates you. You might find reading books or watching movies that inspire you to fuel your mind.

Mental self-care also involves doing things that help you stay mentally healthy. Practicing self-compassion and acceptance, for example, helps you maintain a healthier inner dialogue.

Spiritual Self-Care

Research shows that a lifestyle includes religion or spirituality. is generally a healthier lifestyle.

Nurturing your spirit, however, doesn't have to involve religion. It can involve anything that helps you develop a deeper sense of meaning, understanding, or connection with the universe.

Whether you enjoy meditation, attending a religious service, or praying, spiritual self-care is important.

Emotional Self-Care

It's important to have healthy coping skills to deal with uncomfortable emotions, like anger, anxiety, and sadness. Emotional self-care may include activities that help you acknowledge and express your feelings regularly and safely.

Whether you talk to a partner or close friend about how you feel, or you set aside time for leisure activities that help you process your emotions, it's important to incorporate emotional self-care into your life.

Why Is Self-Care Important?

Having an effective self-care routine has been shown to have several important health benefits. Some of these include:

1. Reducing anxiety and depression.

2. Reducing stress and improving resilience.

3. Improving happiness.

4. Increasing energy.

5. Reducing burnout.

6. Stronger interpersonal relationships

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), self-care is important because it can help promote health, prevent disease, and help people better cope with illness.

Specific forms of self-care have also been linked to different health and wellness benefits, including a longer life. Exercise, finding a sense of purpose in life, and sleep have all been connected to an increased lifespan

conclusion

The demands of your daily life can dictate what type of self-care you might need the most. A self-care plan for a busy college student who feels mentally stimulated all the time and has a bustling social life might need to emphasize physical self-care. A retired person, on the other hand, may need to incorporate more social self-care into their schedule to make sure that their social needs are being met.

Self-care isn't a one size fits all strategy. Your self-care plan will need to be customized to your needs and what is currently going on in your life. You don't want to wait until you've reached your breaking point.

Feelings stuck in life

Feelings stuck in life

I feel stuck in life

If this is the point where you are standing. Then you are at the right place. I am gonna tell you some ways to overcome this situation.
If you go through this entirety then you are gonna change your state of life. And you will be like what happened to me? This blog will enable you to grow in life.
Fortunately, If you’re feeling unsettled or unfulfilled, there are endless ways to design a life that looks and feels authentic to you. Here are the things I recommend doing to start building the momentum you need to make your next move:

...[ Content ]...

  1. Why do you feel stuck?
  2. How to unstuck?
  3. What not to do when you feel stuck?

Common signs you may be feeling stuck:

  • Constant repetitive negative thoughts.
  • Inability to focus
  • Brain fog
  • Fatigue
  • Lack of motivation
  • Procrastination
  • Restlessness
  • Anxiety
  • Depression

Why do you feel stuck?

  1. You fear external judgment.
  2. You feel disconnected from your values.
  3. you think a change might mean losing something.
  4. You've lost hope for the future.
  5. You're overwhelmed or burned out.
  6. You're comparing yourself to others.

How to unstuck.

There are plenty of ways that you can help yourself get unstuck. Below are some approaches you can use to get out of your rut.

Identify what you truly want

Stuckness can be a vague, ambiguous feeling of something in life not being "right." When you notice these feelings, allow yourself some time to clarify what you want to be different. Frame these desires and hopes as what you do want to happen: "I want to maintain or increase my salary" rather than "I don't want to take a pay cut."

Ways to identify what you want:

  • Create a vision board. Get creative and create a visual representation of what matters to you and what you want in your life. This board can be as literal or abstract as you like – it's your vision– so have fun with it!
  • Determine what your values are. What's important to you? Do you value relationships and loyalty over grit and determination? Make a list of your top 10 values and look for any patterns.

Change your perspective

Remember that feeling "stuck" can be simply a mindset—albeit an oppressive one. But negative thoughts don't hold all the cards. With some self-awareness and conscious effort, you can change your inner voice. And your perspective to be more flexible.

Questions to change your perspective:

  • How else can I see this situation?
  • How will I feel about this situation in a week/three months or three years?
  • What would my eight-year-old self offer as advice?
  • What would 80-year-old me say?

Move your body

If you've ever finished the workday with a stiff neck and shoulders, you'll know that tension and stuckness can sit in the body. Exercise can get more positive chemicals running through you. And being outside and in nature do wonders for your well-being.

Ways to get moving:

  • Do a quick virtual yoga class. Some are even formatted to do at your desk (but we recommend taking a break if you can)
  • Go for a walk
  • Stretch your neck, shoulders, and arms

Set a date and park decisions until then

Give yourself space to clear your head, and set a date to re-evaluate your situation. Mark the date in your calendar, and allow yourself to focus on present issues until then. This practice gives you the chance to fully commit to what you're doing without the extra weight of questioning yourself and your future.

Take action to avoid "analysis paralysis"

Once you're clear on what you want, ask yourself, "What's the next smallest step I could take?" It's so easy to get entangled with the stuckness that you forget there are small steps that you could take to make progress.

How to beat procrastination:

Try the Pomodoro technique Commit to spending a short time, such as 25 minutes, working on a task uninterrupted. Since the first step is often the hardest, things feel more straightforward once you get going

What not to do when you feel stuck?

To reduce any extra stress and worry that can arise when feeling stuck in a rut, keep these in mind:
  1. Don't be hard on yourself.
  2. Try not to blame others.
  3. Don't focus on the stuck area as the only thing in your life.
  4. Don't doubt your ability to handle your decisions

Conclusion:-

The key to getting unstuck and back into the flow is using your mind, emotions, and body so that they work for you, not against you. The more we feed a thought, the stronger it becomes. So next time you feel stuck, remember your positive thoughts help you align with positive emotions. When you connect back to your internal compass, you’ll always feel more grounded in your external reality.

Bonus tips:-

Start new things:- when you do some new things you add confidence to your mind. Starting new tasks and starting from the beginning gives you a sense of accomplishment.

Go for a trip alone:- it gives a person a new perspective on the present problems or separates you from the current state of the mind.
